I don't use nova or any launcher for that matter but if you do want to customize your phone completely it's a great way to do so. Nova was my favorite when I used to do it

If it suits your needs and you don't want to fork out the cash I'd just stick with the galaxy s3. It's still a great device

I'd like to say wing it but I normally research where I'm headed for months before I fly out and when I get there I feel like I've lived there for years I know so much about the place

I have no intentions on ever leaving Samsung devices. They have never let me down before, the battery life is great, and touch wiz works perfect for my day to day usage

^^^ this exactly. Who cares about which is better, I know you would have to pry my s5 out of my cold dead hands to make me move to an iPhone 6.

Comes with the territory of not using a screen protector sometimes they will get scratched. That's still not enough to make me ever use a screen protector though but that's just me. I'll deal with a few minor scratches
