When I left Android for the iPhone I was using a Galaxy S3 which was a very good phone but I wanted to try something different.
Recently I had the chance to do some comparisons and came to the conclusion the Galaxy is what I wanted to come back to.
One reason I use a smartphone is the camera feature. As a photographer I like to have a camera everytime I walk out the door but many times carrying a DSLR or film SLR can be a pain so the camera/phone fits the bill..
I had a chance to compare the iPhone 6 plus to my iPhone 5S a couple of days after its release. Overall there was no real difference in quality except when shooting high ISO work. The iPhone 5S won hands down.
All shots were taken with both mounted on a tripod and the shutter fired from the selftimer so there was no camera shake to cause issues.. In the end both cameras did fine..
Yesterday I got to use my sisters Galaxy S5 to compare against the iPhone 5S. The iPhone had to tuck its tail and run it got beat so badly.. There was no comparison...
Other features such as app loading etc were for the most part the same. I never saw any lag in the S5 that some people speak about..
All in all....my iPhone will be up for sale next month once I get my hands on the S5... :) :) :)

I have no intentions on ever leaving Samsung devices. They have never let me down before, the battery life is great, and touch wiz works perfect for my day to day usage

You know I was always of the opinion that "lagging" was in the eye of the beholder. Even if it had this so-called lag, it usually was minor for most people. I also found that what some people complain about is often times something other people never even notice. The moral of this story is, just go get what you want. If any of these things become to much of a problem, you just return it within the two week period. Case closed. For the record, I personally love the Galaxy Line and will be staying with it but in my opinion, the best camera on a phone sits on the Lumia 1020 (and other Lumia's)

I myself just switched from the A-side to Samsung :)

I've been a long-time jailbreak fanatic and a have always enjoyed the customization that comes with it on iOS. But the new iPhone is nothing more than a larger screened 5-5s, and i didn't really like it when it was released. On top of that it was either stick with what I had and run iOS 7 jailbroken or get a new iPhone and have the same boring iOS 8 as 90% of other users. I've never been a "fanboy" or anything of the like, I feel whatever works for you and you're comfortable with- well good for you and more power to you at that. I've long thought about jumping ship and did for the first time this weekend and so far I'm very happy with the S5. There's little things more associated with Android itself that I wouldn't say I don't care for, but that I'm so used to iOS I'm not used to the way Android does it's thing.
The camera is awesome!! The colors/sharpness aren't what I had hoped in some scenarios but hey it's a phone so it is what it is :)

That's a good way to look at things dohlo. To many people switch from an iPhone to android (or other way around) and expect the same experience. It will never be and some things will be worse and some better. THAT'S what you get when making a major change. You need to except that when you do it or you don't do it. I've always loved the Galaxy Line and even though I like the build of the iPhone, it was to small and way to boring for my tastes. With Android or even Windows, I can select from a multitude of phones. Your needs/tastes change over time and it's nice to have a phone to change too. Not so for Apple lovers. Ok, now they have a big one but it is EXACTLY the same as the little one. Whoopee. You'll also see that Android allows you to jump in and out of apps WAY easier and is a true multitasking OS. I have a work iPhone and I still can't find an efficient way to go from one app to the next. What a pain. P.S. I seen the new iPhone 6's and definitely don't like them now. VERY slippery and don't feel as solid. They now look like so many other smart phones. Nothing special there.
