The Note 2 is a 9 year old phone, so has a 1.9 MP front camera, the Pixel 3A XL front cam is 8 MP, so I would assume sending the video during the call uses 4x the data, no? The screen resolution was smaller on the Note 2, but I would imagine the phone still needs to receive whatever size image...

Curious what everyone else sees in memory usage for Chrome, to see which of us is the outlier. Also curious what phone/OS etc. the OP is using.

As far as I know, the system calls RAM "memory" and disk space "storage".

Loaded up a bunch of video tabs and got it up to almost 600MB. Ofc I would never watch YouTube on chrome... BTW I'm on a Note 10+ running Android 11 on VZW, July security release.

I'm opening games, loading videos, up to 28 tabs and I can't crack 500MB.

What page is loaded taking up that much memory, if you don't mind me asking?

That seems crazy to me. I've got Chrome open with 22 tabs open and it's using 315MB. How many tabs do you have open? Are they all in desktop mode?

Isn't that almost exactly what the cable company partnership between BrightHouse, Cox, Optimum, Time Warner Cable, and xfinity does with "Cable WiFi" etc.? There I don't think you even have the option to opt out, do you?

Expandable memory. 400+GB of my kids baseball videos and plenty of room for apps, movies, anything.

I have my Note 10+ set to reboot every day at 3a. It just seems to run better that way.
