That seems crazy to me. I've got Chrome open with 22 tabs open and it's using 315MB. How many tabs do you have open? Are they all in desktop mode?

I only keep 1 tab open in my Chrome browser. Right now, I'm using and trying out Firefox focus. So far it's pretty good!

Yeah, I definitely agree with you regarding that! That's mostly why I am testing out Firefox focus again. For the desktop, Chrome is great, but unfortunately, it's a slightly different story in mobile devices... I'm just not sure why, that's for sure.

Honestly, nothing out of the norm. I keep 1 tab rubbing, and that's it. That's why I figured this was completely normal behavior for Chrome on mobile.

I'm opening games, loading videos, up to 28 tabs and I can't crack 500MB.

Loaded up a bunch of video tabs and got it up to almost 600MB. Ofc I would never watch YouTube on chrome...

BTW I'm on a Note 10+ running Android 11 on VZW, July security release.

That's RAM usage, I think OP means total app usage in system storage.

Ok, just double checked and they did indeed mention memory in the first post. It was me that got mixed up.

Not using Chrome but Kiwi (which is Chrome based) as I mentioned before, and after opening a few tabs it was at about 100 MB memory. This is on a KEY² running Oreo 8.1.

I was running Chrome on my Pixel 5 running Android 12 beta 2.1. Right now I'm using Firefox focus which is pretty good on battery and memory!

I use Kiwi. It's using 413 MB storage now after cleaning the cache. I like it because it has a bottom toolbar, dark mode, and a built in ad blocker.

DON'T USE KIWI BROWSER. It is malware. It has keylogger and other malware stuff and runs on a old and unsafer version of chromium.
