A Nexus is out of the question. From what I've read it won't work on Verizon's network (as I said in the OP, they're the only decent carrier where I live) and also if you're going to reccomend a different phone, please at least tell me why I should get it.

I'm looking at getting an M8, but there are a few questions I haven't been able to find find a good answer to. First off, Unlocked vs Developer editions. I honestly can't find a good list of differences. I'm interested in developing apps, so that's why the 'developer' edition catches my eye...
