    Nexus 7 LTE version connectivity

AT&T is GSM/HSPA+/LTE. Unfortunately they call HSPA+ 4G when it's not really. If you're in an area without LTE it will still get HSPA and thus data. Verizon users with the N7 will only have data coverage where there's LTE (almost everywhere).

    Nexus 7 LTE version connectivity

It's LTE and HSPA+, no CDMA. So fallbacks on AT&T and T-Mobile but nothing on Verizon.

    4G Wimax question.

Sprint lte won't run on 800mhz until next summer at the earliest. Iden won't be retired until next June. The frequency doesn't matter as much add the transmit power which is correlated to the distance and interference. In fact higher frequency would probably require more power due to higher...

    4G Wimax question.

It's more complicated than that. Wimax and WiFi are not that similar except by name. Wimax transmits over a very long range and this requires more power. It also uses much more sophisticated modulation and requires more cpu.

    ICS is finally available.

Sadly not for me. I think Sprint takes longer due to wimax. On a positive note, my new Evo 4g LTE is waiting for me at home.

    LTE on Evo 3D.?

It's actually more than that. The Snapdragon processor needs to support the signal processing necessary to handle LTE (this is why the Tegra was not used in the US versions of the One X). WiMax and LTE use different modulation techniques for bandwidth and power consumption. Also Sprint's LTE...

    Sprint Bloatware New Permissions

Just noticed a bunch of manual updates for the Sprint bloatware on my Evo 3D. Most of them now require GPS location and the ability to receive SMS messages! This is not okay with me. Here's what's changed that really bothers me: Blockbuster: Coarse and Fine location mSpot Radio: Receive SMS...

    Super delay in getting texts?

This happened to me this weekend. All my texts since Friday afternoon were delayed until Sunday night. The recipients received them all at once.
