You should'nt be using your phone when driving anyways. Besides any of the voice assisted features should take care of your problems if your only issue is while driving.

Hey I have the same problem with my Galxy Note 2 device. As I use an exchange account at work, this requires me to have pin or password protection. This means I cannot use swipe to unlock or any other lock screen features. Were you able to bypass this problem by any chance?
