I got the Verizon security update today.

Just notice my watch is consuming a crazy amount of my phones battery. Seems bluetooth is the culprit. In a 12 hour period it is responsible for 35% of the usage. More than 3 hours of screen time. Not running any unusual apps and did a factory reset on the watch. Anyone experiencing the same?

Thanks Highlander. Still no way to hide Nav bar. Verizon going to force me into a factory reset... Oh well.

Just updated on Verizon. I can no longer hide the nav bar. It seems they have deleted the "full screen gestures" in settings, display, navigation bar ... And now no full screen gestures options Called Verizon and they have no clue. Just lost 10% of the screen while watching anything in...

Replacement battery is $26 on Amazon with tools. YouTube video on repair is pretty simple. Maybe 20 minutes and no need to send your watch anywhere.

Check app like Stay Alive that will keep screen on for any app you wish.

I am also in the car at least 4 hours a day with my Note 8 plugged into the charger all the time. A year later my battery is still fine. Charge away your phone when at 100% will run off the charger and not the battery.

If the phone is not set to forward to the gear, you can answer from the watch as long as the headphones are paired or plugged into the phone.

Go to Samsung Galaxy Apps from your phone and download the maps you want. What's app should show up in the gear manager under notifications. Just enable. No regrets...you will love the watch.

Was there a charge for the "enhanced" blue effects? Anyway, you should have the July update. Return the phone. There is zero excuse for this screen flaw. Sounds to me like Apple‘s excuse for bad reception that users were "holding the phone improperly".

I am one of those crazy types that even has the original boxes. I use my first giant screen smart phone, a Droid X, as a bathroom clock. It has that really slick custom desk dock and still looks great. Use my Note 2 and Note 4 as security cameras with the Alfred app. Just can't seem to part with...
