long press on the screen until you get the option to add shortcut, android widget, folder, etc, click on shortcut then select the person option. let me know if you get it :)

so you dont have any gap at all on the bottom? the ones on the side dont bother me too much because i dont really notice them but if the screen is on light shines through the gap in the bottom
