Use port plugs.. I've been using them on my note8 and have had no issue. I work in Dusty and dirty environments

Another question, having the neohybrid screen protector, if I order a full coverage skin, does the front simply go over the screen protector or..... opinions? Thanks guys

Even my oem cord from Samsung will display that message when I charge from a non Samsung usb brick on occasion. I'm not sure why it is like that, works fine in my personal truck but my work van gets the message, same cord.

Mine said 6-8 weeks, received it yesterday.

I bought an hdmi, usb, and usb 3.0 cable on Amazon for $20. I stream my phone to a tv, charge via the usbc, while using the usb 3 for a mouse.

I can't relocate my router, or use a Wi-Fi booster/extender. It's not my garage, and I'm not going above hooking my phone up to the tv lol. I haven't launched smart view? I'll try that on Friday. Most likely my problem. I just plugged my phone into the hdmi to usbc adapter and it launches dex.

It does otg supposedly. Like I said it launches dex, and that's what I use. It works ok, but you have to use a mouse and if disables the screen display.

Have a Chromecast. I'm doing this in a garage not near Wi-Fi. Chromecast couldn't setup and was like waiting for dialup to load a video. So I'm using an hdmi to usbc adapter. And dex launches, instead of just mirroring the image to the tv.

So I was interested in using my phone as a mirror, and being able to play videos and such on a tv. I went on Amazon, bought a usbc to hdmi adapter, and when I plug it in, it launches Samsung dex? Instead of screen mirror. Is there a fix for this? I'd rather use my phone instead of the dex...

Yeah that's why I was saying it could be part of the software to monitor mah vs voltage and disable charging below a threshold that's being incorrectly reported as dangerous somehow.

Could be trying to fast charge it when dead? Possibility that it spikes the voltage and the phone won't turn on due to incorrect voltage. Just a thought after the issues last year. The typical voltage in a battery 3.77 but at peak can be 4.77. When you first put a lithium battery on a charge...

Thought oem implied it was the one that came with the phone.... but anyways, tried different plugs and my computer but no luck. Ended up at best buy and bought a new cord.
