I can understand the speaker grille, that's external, so may have rubbed against anything in my pocket or in the car etc. The bit that's flaked off is under the glass though, so hasn't been exposed - That's what I don't understand :/

No spillage or anything like that, not that I can remember! It's only a little over 2 months old, so I'm going to push for a replacement through either Vodafone or Samsung as I think it's more a manufacturing fault than anything else. If I'd dropped it & there was damager there, I'd suck it up...

I took the plunge and tried Nova - LOVE IT! Kicking myself that I hadn't used it before, so thanks very much for the tip. :)

OK so maybe I should look at Nova Launcher as an option then. I've previously loaded custom ROMs on my HTC phones, but never bothered with changing a launcher. Is there anything I'll miss about the Samsung standard? As I'm not used to it yet, I guess now is a good time to change it!

That does work, they're a bit smaller when it's full with 4+Apps launcher. Not quite what I wanted, but might have to do. Thanks for the tip :)

I've switched to the S7 after years of HTC phones. So far, so good. I'm liking the change. I love how I can change the screen grid, and have this set to 5x5. The Apps dock on the bottom row looks huge in proportion though. Is there any way to adjust these to smaller icons? I just have Phone...
