If you set the phone on a solid or mounted setting, you can use the timer. That gives you a 3 or 10 second delay between tapping the shutter button and the image capture.

Yes it did. I monitored it for a few days and it was in that range every day. It was surprising (and disappointing). Like I said, it barely registered anything on the 2 XL.

I have to admit---as much as I didn't look forward to it, I hardly ever notice it's there. I'm quite honestly surprised by that. I truly thought I would obsess over it purely to rip on it, especially because that was my thought of a notch when Apple put it on their phones.

It was of negligible impact on my 2 XL but it was sucking 16%+ per day on the 3 XL so I disabled it for now. That's just too much of a drain for me.
