thanks for the response! Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work. What I did instead was to turn my macbook pro into a hotspot and I just connected my phone through that and it works really well.

I'm trying to connect to my hotel's open wifi but the status keeps switching back and forth between "obtaining IP address", "connected", and "saved" like crazy. I can connect to other networks, and other people can connect to the one that I can't. Anybody ever have this problem? thanks
