With the first phone the home screen error didn't happen for a couple of months. When I picked up my replacement G6, it happened as soon as I signed in and choose the home screen /app drawer choice.
I have had the T-Mobile G6 since April. The first month I really liked the phone. Then I started get a notification that I had moisture in the charging port when I have never had my phone near water. That error evolved into a notification that I needed to change my USB settings when plugged in...
I'm not doing anything different with the phone. I was looking through my social media apps today at lunch and it shut down. The other day I was listening to music using the LG music app and it shut down.

I love my v10, but recently it was been getting extremely hot and I receive a message saying that it is shutting down to protect the phone. Is anyone else having this issue? If so how did you fix it?

T-Mobile is giving us a new phone. I agree that it was probably just the cable. The phone didn't get hot.

My wife bought the LG G5 about 10 days ago. We started having problems with it charging a day or so ago. Last night I unplugged the usb-c charging cable from the phone and it was smoking. The rubber around the had plug melted. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or heard of this...
I did a factory reset and that took care of the lag, unresponsive keys, and the apps not loading correctly. The battery life is still worse than before.

So far battery life has been worse. Also there is a lot of lag. Only had it a day and I'm not really happy with lollipop. Hopefully there are some patches quickly.
