Worth Avenue Group (insurance): Have you had to file a claim?

Worth Avenue Group offers better coverage than Best Buy at a lower price. But their reviews on Yelp are poor (https://www.yelp.com/biz/worth-ave-group-stillwater). If you have file a claim for a lost, stolen or damaged phone, what was the experience like? Is it worth buying?

stylus stopped working in Gmail message body

Unless I'm imagining it, my Note 4 stylus worked as handwriting recognition in both the subject field and the message body field in Gmail. Recently the handwriting option is no longer available in the message body, but works perfectly fine in the subject field. What's the best way to use the...

Has anyone tried using Mirror Link in their car?

Chilly, what is the make, model and year of your car? I'm driving a 2016 Subaru Outback.

    Quick Marshmallow review

Using the S-Pen with Gmail now results in a smaller window that doesn't provide adequate room to write (if you have a signature block). Is it possible to get the full-screen window back? Posted via the Android Central App

Sprint is/was down in several areas

Seems that Sprint is experiencing an outage of several services in Illinois, Indiana and possibly other areas. Some people on Twitter are saying it's fixed; others are still complaining. I'm able to place a voice call now (6:30 pm, Central) but wasn't able 30 minutes ago.

Is there a way to disable this sound..?

On the Note 4, Sprint, Lollipop 5.0.1, I can't find this setting anywhere. As well, when I turn off the screen, there is a sound I'd like to get rid of. Do we really need to hear a sound effect when turning off the screen? And what purpose is served by the lockscreen wipe sound effect? If you...

Lollipop silent mode alarms not working

Others here (especially SRFOOT) have been helpful in posting solutions. I combined what several people have suggested into these instructions which I hope are clear: Open (slide down) notification bar. Click on top right icon to open icon page. Click on pencil icon to edit buttons. From...

    Sprint S3 to Note4 -- signal improvement?

I have an S3 on Sprint in downtown Chicago and near north suburbs. The signal quality varies. In some locations the LTE is great, in other spots, I barely have 4G at all. Has anybody had enough experience with the Note 4 on Sprint to know if it picks up a stronger signal? My son has an S5 on...

Gsam Battery Monitor / GS3 / Erratic phone signal / Sprint

Do the screenshots indicate there's something wrong with my phone or am I just in a bad Sprint area? For most of the time shown on these screenshots I was in one place, wandering around a large community center-type building (not a large office building). In addition to losing battery life...

Low volume speakers after S5 is dropped in melted chocolate

Yeah, I guess hand-dipped cell phones could become the new rage. The inside of the phone looks very clean. How much alcohol would you use, and how deep would you push the pin?

Low volume speakers after S5 is dropped in melted chocolate

There are certainly worse places to drop a phone, but this one should win some kind of award. My daughter was in her apartment melting chocolate to make hand-dipped strawberries. It's unclear to me how this happened, but the S5 ended up in the hot, melted chocolate. She grabbed it quickly...

Galaxy S3: Battery nearly dead in three hours!

Re: Battery nearly dead in three hours! Thanks, B., the reboot definitely helped. I'm sure that poor signal is part of the battery problem, as several of you have mentioned. I spend a lot of my time in downtown Chicago and near-north suburbs. The signal strength fluctuates a lot. My phone also...

Galaxy S3: Battery nearly dead in three hours!

My phone has been getting slower and slower. And today, with the phone nearly idle, the battery went from 100 to 15% in three hours. The phone says it was awake for the entire three hours, but the list of active apps doesn't show anything unusual (see screenshots). As you can see, the Sprint...

[Closed] Weekly photo contest: Street scenes

Police training "exercise" These police cadets doing push ups on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago give new meaning to the phrase "training exercise." Photo captured with my Samsung Galaxy S3 (Sprint) 11/28/12.
