I am almost done with it as well. It is still much better than my previous Android phones though. When I am in the market for a new phone, planning on going with a Nexus or Pixel.
I can imagine but I currently have the limit set at 10,000 messages but the stock app doesn't seem to be doing its job of deleting old ones. Sounds like a bug to me.
I noticed that the stock messaging app starts crashing after there are a little more than 10,000 messages in a thread. I then have to delete the thread and wait for it to refresh. Bit of a pain.
I am pretty tempted to start using Hangouts for SMS. Will it import my texts automatically from the...
I have had my Moto X 2014 Pure Edition since around December 2014. Overall, it has held up really well and is a big step up from the low-midrange Android phones I used to purchase. My biggest complaints are the lack of recent security patches and not having 6.0.1. I doubt that it'll get Nougat...
Personally I would recommend looking into a newer Nexus device. You are essentially guaranteed to get updates.
That being said, my Moto X 2014 has been pretty good to me but as already mentioned, it is almost two years old now.
A bit concerning for sure. Next phone will most likely either be a Nexus or a iPhone (since I use Mac OS more now).
Will say that the Moto X 2014 is still going strong. Hard to believe I've had it for almost 2 years now.
Mine got really hot during the upgrade as well. I recall the same thing happening when I upgraded to 5.1 back in June or July.
I've had my Moto X for a little over a year now. Still love it!
Just installed it! One thing that is weird is the small font date on the Moto unlock screen.
Seems pretty good overall though. Really easy to get to silence mode now.
Yeah, I can't figure it out. I updated the Google app recently but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
I had 100% battery before I turned it off last night. After it started this morning and optimized, I had 95%.
Back in August or September my Moto X Pure Edition would sometimes optimize apps when I would start my phone. I ended up restoring and it went away. Today it started up again. Will Marshmallow possibly fix this?
Thanks!
