Optimizing Apps is Back

Back in August or September my Moto X Pure Edition would sometimes optimize apps when I would start my phone. I ended up restoring and it went away. Today it started up again. Will Marshmallow possibly fix this?

Thanks!

The same thing happened to me last week with the G 2013 and the X Play. It wasn't after a normal Power on but after a hard reboot (holding the Power button for 15 seconds). I was checking something for the forums and got the optimising apps process. It took a long time to finish.

Yeah, I can't figure it out. I updated the Google app recently but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I had 100% battery before I turned it off last night. After it started this morning and optimized, I had 95%.

I am having the same issue in my original Droid Turbo. No matter how I turn it off, it says optimizing my apps every time I turn it on

Interesting. It hasn't optimized the last few times I have turned it on. Sometimes it says "Starting apps..." but that only takes a few seconds.

It happened to me a couple of days ago on my Nexus 5. The phone had gotten kind of sluggish and I guess rebooted on its own, then started optimizing apps. I haven't rebooted since that happened so I don't know if it will happen every time.

This happens on my 2013 Moto X but it is inconsistent. However it does not happen on my 2014 64GB Pure Edition nor on my 2015 32GB Pure Edition.

It has not optimized on startup since. Still keeping my eye on it though.
