You have repeat notifications every 15 minutes turned on. Go to Settings, Apps & Notifications, Advanced, Emergency Alerts. At the bottom find your options. Had my 3 XL for just over a week now. Great phone so far. Coming off a Samsung S7 Edge.

It is possible to block numbers. Go to Phone, More, Settings, look down on the page & you will see Block List. Add your numbers to be blocked.

My wife's T2 just started doing this as well. Message+ along with a Zedge notification tone. Also using Caller Name Talker app as well. I tried just about everything and then in the messaging app I unchecked message popup in the settings menu. Now the tone plays as well as who the text is from...

Okay then, here's what I discovered and it now works, somewhat. After much trial and error, I turned off 'screen pop up' when the screen is off. Now my wife gets her full sound notification and the announcement of who the text is from. ?????? She's happy so I am happy. ??????

Anybody got a clue?

My wife's Turbo 2 has started doing the same thing. Also Marshmallow. Also Message +. But all messages, not just group. It will alert if the screen is on, but not when the screen is off.

Download Zedge for ring tones and notification sounds. Or download ES File Explorer. This all presumes you have an Android device. ☺

I just installed my update. Phone was fine before. No problems then, let's hope for the same now. On a side note, my son had the DT2 which he has given to my granddaughter. He replaced it w/the Samsung 7 (or whatever it's called). I asked how he liked it. He said it's okay but the battery life...

I just updated my Amazon apps. (Please read the directions provided in another post here about Amazon Underground.) I enable the Audible app & then updated it. I also enabled in security settings allow install a pps from other sources. (DON'T REALLY KNOW IF THIS WAS A NECESSARY STEP OR NOT?)...

I just did this as well and all my Amazon apps finally (READ FRUSTRATING) updated. Also check my own post here about Amazon shopping not updating after MM install.

I appreciate the responses I have received so far, but of the suggested work arounds, none of them work for me.

I would like to browse & shop like I was doing before MM. I still can, I just can't update the app. FYI: Verizon is my carrier should that make a difference.
