When I received mine from NewEgg it said the simcard was already installed and I encountered the same problem as you. They should have included another sim card in the package, replace the one in your phone with that one and it should activate within a few minutes as was the case with mine.

I ordered from Newegg and it was stuck on that step but I talked to one of the live chat representatives and they said since I was transferring an upgrade that they couldn't process it. They asked for a little more info and then it was processed right away and shipped about an hour or two later.

Quick question, what happens if I were to lose my phone during this 181 day period? If I activated another phone on this line say my old phone, would I be subject to this 400 dollar fee?
