One crash, and Two extra GBs of internal storage

I have a Galaxy S5 Active running stock 6.0.1 ROM. Yesterday on my drive home (running Waze), the phone crashed, and rebooted on my dashboard. When I got home, I realized my free internal storage went from about 3,300MB to 5,500MB. I poked around a bit in the Storage Menu, seems the data...

Samsung Browser 4.0 with Adblock Fast

If I browse, but do not close the browser when done, just hit the home button and use another app, and put to phone to standby. When I return to the browser later on, some embedded ads would be showing. Here is a test page: Testing your adblocker – Simple Adblock

Samsung Browser 4.0 with Adblock Fast

Is anyone using the new Samsung Browser with the Adblock Fast plugin? On mine it works well most of the time but if I let it run stale, the element hiding part will stop working. Only way to restart it is to close the browser by swiping it away in the recent apps window, and relaunch the...

Pressing both Volume + and - buttons simotaneously

I found a flash light app that I really like. It allows the flashlight to be switched on even when the phone is locked, by pressing the Volume + and - at the same time...

    S Health vs Google Fit

Thanks. Sigh... this seems to be an oversight. A web portal should be there to view the data, and, as an alternative mean of data entry, for when your phone is tied up or charging. E.g. entering meal or water consumption data. Hopefully Samsung would rectify it in the (near) future. Well...

Why would my Samsung Active 5 not keep time correctly?

In 32 days, my S5 active is 2-3 mins ahead, if left not corrected by the network time. So this phone does run fast inately, albeit not much. Since the network assisted correction is available, the point is really moot.

Why am I told there is an OS upgrade and when I try to install is always fails?

Glad I was able to help. This is the best build for this phone so far. I am at 27.5 days since the last reboot with no issue. Everything is snappy and stable and the battery life is good. Previously, the home button to Google Now issue on 4.4.4, and the white squares on the lock screen with...

Why am I told there is an OS upgrade and when I try to install is always fails?

You will need 5 GB of free space on the device (not SD card), to complete the update. This is because the update process need space to uncompress the install file, and to perform data moves, etc. Start backing up media and uninstall apps. Once the upgrade is completed you can move everything...
