I have a Galaxy S5 Active running stock 6.0.1 ROM. Yesterday on my drive home (running Waze), the phone crashed, and rebooted on my dashboard.
When I got home, I realized my free internal storage went from about 3,300MB to 5,500MB. I poked around a bit in the Storage Menu, seems the data under OTHER (Formally Miscellaneous in 5.1.1), we to zero. I remember I had about 2GBs in Miscellaneous before.
Aside from gaining extra storage, there is no problem with the phone. Android boots, and all the apps work. It even seems a little faster.
Has anyone seen this before? It is related to the crash or a coincidence?
