This happened about a month ago and after 3 or 4 days it fixed itself. Now it's happening again. Gets very hot and battery is dead in 3 or 4 hours. Unless the charger is a quick charge it won't even keep up with the drain. Here's some screen shots from Settings > Battery

This happened about a month ago then it abruptly fixed itself. Now it's happening again. The battery drains so fast I can barely charge it with a regular charger - have to shut it off or use a quick charger. There were no new apps installed before this started happening.

Thanks. Just trying to do what you said seems to have made my phone fix itself (kind of like when you take your car to the garage and they can't get it to make that funny noise). But after 4 says of acting up through several reboots and lots of overheating it's now behaving itself. If it acts up...

I have a Moto x 2nd gen with Verizon. Was working fine. All of a sudden the battery won't last more than a couple hours. It gets very hot. Even if plugged in unless I'm using the quick charger it drains the battery faster than it charges. When I look to see what's draining the battery it says...
