Haha. Nah I tend to keep them for a minimum 2 years, and aiming for 3+. Still rocking the 7+ and will be skipping this years as well. The Note 9 will actually be replacing my S8 work phone. And the only reason I'm getting out of the S8 is because it's too damn small, and I miss the Note series...

Legit question to the OP and others, why not just use an aux cable? I had an expensive system in my last car and still found it easier to just plug in the aux.

There is an entire settings category called Device Management. From what I can gather they've removed it entirely and all of the subsettings in it. I can't speak to their motivations but I'd assume they will call out any carrier that messes with the software and removes stuff for no reason.

Nope not an anti-Verizon rant, just relaying what I'm seeing elsewhere and trying to confirm. As for the issues, if you're not looking at the items I mentioned then of course there's no issues.

Yes and that's one of the reasons I've stuck with the iPhone since it hit VZW. I remember the Note 3 or 4 I tried it out, and something as simple as the continuous app screen swiping was removed only on VZW's version. So maddening.

According to several tweets by Droid-Life and replies to their tweets, VZW has a warmer temperature screen setting, ad block on the browser is disabled, smart settings suggestions are gone, Device Management settings section gone, and RAM management settings gone...
