Help me decide if I should update

My N7 '13 is running great on M too, I would not hesitate to upgrade.

    Just got my Nexus 9!

Still waiting on 6.0? Maybe there's some kind of incantation you can do... :) I think many of us have gotten 6.0.1 by now. It seems to work fine, no big difference. I've heard about new emojis but I don't even know where to look for them.

    Just got my Nexus 9!

My new N9 arrived about a week ago, and all the updates up to 6.0 came OTA over a stretch of several hours, then I did a full reset at the end. I would just give it a few reboot cycles and maybe a cache wipe and 6.0 should show up. I think we'll be getting 6.0.1 shortly, too - it just hit my...

    Just got marshmallow ota

Just got OTA, updating now... finally. Didn't check the build I'm updating from, but fwiw it's a '13 wifi, and I installed the security update a couple weeks ago.

OTA for Marshmallow 6.0 starts today!!

The title of this thread keeps letting me down :) I keep hoping with each new post to read that the OTA has begun. Someday it will be true, I suppose.

    Did Lenovo Finally Ruin Motorola?

Agree with the above... In the last few years Moto has truly innovated, been good about updates, and built some new loyalty. Lenovo may or may not blow it. I think failing to update the carrier editions of the 2014 Moto X is strike one.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X (2nd gen)

Even though I'm getting M on my 2014 PE, I'm still upset by this and what it may portend for updates from Moto in the future. I'd be ripping mad if I had a carrier version, and would be pushing for Moto to do something for me, either via discounted upgrades, or converting at least GSM carrier...

Are you still sticking with your 2014 Moto X?

Sticking with my 2014 Pure, probably at least thru this time next year. Won't want a bigger phone then, and I hope at that time there's a new Moto X or Nexus that fits me.

Just bought a new N7, safe to update to Lollipop?

Keep and update. I've had my N7 for almost 2 years, and the current Lollipop build is solid (unlike the previous 2). I just bought my wife an N7 to replace her Kindle Fire (1st gen) that crapped out. I immediately did all the updates, with a full data reset after the last one, and it's running...

    Moto X (2nd gen) XT1095 Pure Edition/T-Mobile: Lollipop 5.1 Update

Re: Moto X (2nd gen): Lollipop 5.1 Pure Edition/T-Mobile Got it too; first time "check for updates" ever actually worked for me! Seems good so far, with no lag, but will see if that holds up. If not I'll do a reset.

Moto X 2014 - is this phone still good?

Re: this phone still good? That's a a good chunk of cash for what may be little benefit over the Moto X. Hard to go wrong with a Pure Edition, and I would guess they're easy to resell when you want to upgrade. Depends on your needs of course.

    Opinions about 2014 moto x

My Pure Edition has been really good since I got it in December. Subpar camera, yes, but take many shots and some will be good. As to battery, just a handful of times have I ever really needed to recharge before bedtime, though my usage may be less than many peoples'. Generally happy with...

Nexus 7 2013 Wifi 5.1 upgrade finally here OTA

Got it Thursday night, seems mostly quicker. Did have a random reboot this morning, which is rare for me. Was thinking of doing a full reset with 5.1, but now I'm hearing 5.1.1 is just around the corner so I'll wait.

My Moto X 2014 is getting buggy

I suspect no one. A system cache wipe takes maybe 2 mins counting reboot time. A full reset can be a huge investment of time, and is only worth it if you're having serious issues.

My Moto X 2014 is getting buggy

Check out the 4th Sticky Thread. I do one every week or two, and it seems to help for awhile, but hard to be sure.
