Moto X 2014 - is this phone still good?

Re: this phone still good?

I'm kinda wondering if it's worth it to pay the extra 230 dollars to get a LG G4 because it's a newer phone with better battery.

That's a a good chunk of cash for what may be little benefit over the Moto X. Hard to go wrong with a Pure Edition, and I would guess they're easy to resell when you want to upgrade. Depends on your needs of course.

Good phone but be prepared to hug a wall.

Get a G2, they're cheap, big long lasting battery, better camera than the Moto X. I like my G2 better than my wife's X 2nd gen. The form is better, but that's about it. If you want to get a brand new, this year model get the G4.

The G2 is still a good phone. I can second that. I had mine until about October last year. I like the 2014 Moto X a lot as well as the G2. It comes down to preference. You do get the better camera on the G2. You lose the Moto features. It depends on what you prefer, but the G2 is very good inexpensive alternative.

The Moto X 2014 is a good phone and all but sub par camera, poor battery life and having to fork $400 for a 32GB Pure Edition made me jump ship to a Galaxy Note 4.
