I do as you have suggested I swipe down hold the gear and it brings up when I release the so then I scroll down to settings open and this is what I see

Again not understanding if you are asking the order of my apps I dragged them into that order they did not just land there if that is what you are talking about....I do not have apps that I do not use unless they are part of the operating system and I am unable to remove them
