Could a bad/defective sim card affect a phones performance? scratchy/staticy ear speaker, not being heard clearly when making calls even to poor sound from my bluetooth earpiece? I have a new sim card, can i program it with my current number? Verizon G2, by the way. Thanks

Settings>Display>Advanced Settings>Front Touch Buttons, and choose a set that has the pull down icon.

Every I call someone, the person I'm calling says my voice is garbled if they hear me at all. Is this a common problem with G2's? Any known solutions? Wait for the latest Verizon updates?

Press and hold the power button till the LG symbol appears, phone will restart.
