Hi, My Samsung Galaxy S6 is new and I am using a root wifi tether. It gets extremely hot (attached picture with CPU-Z with temperatures). Is this typical? Is this dangerous? What should I try? Factory reset/turn in phone, or are there other things I should try? Or should I just deal with it.

I guess I received a defective unit (used Qualcomm processors which were also known to overheat) so maybe that's the problem :\ never tried switching it. Will put whatever new phone to the max test.

Did you try and get it replaced?

It does help! I'm weary of buying Samsung phones again due to overheating. My S4 would shut down because the system detects that it was too hot and was becoming dangerous (really true) and it would shut off to prevent problems like melting or exploding (which actually happened to a few S4 owners).
