I can get a 64GB samsung s6 edge for around $600 no taxes which is cheaper than all three of the other options brand new. Should I get that rather than the xperia z5? I'm mostly concerned with the mediocre/poor battery life.

I've been running my IPhone 5S for just short of two years (22 months). The phone itself is in great condition, but the degrading battery (Which wasn't great in the first place) and 16GB worth of storage is really pushing me towards an upgrade. And also because shiny new devices are tempting ;)...

The Oneplus X has become a very compelling option as well... If it had a fingerprint scanner it would be perfect, especially considering the 329$ price tag. It's half the price of the Z5 and very similar; I'd have a hard time justifying the extra 350$.

It's also worth mentioning that the Z5 is only 90$ more expensive than the 5X outright (before taxes) in Canada.

Is this considered very expensive (more so than other flagships) in the states? Because $700 for a 4k display would be a steal in Canada with the state of the dollar right now. The IPhone 6 starts at $839 and the 6 plus at $969. Then add all the taxes and you're looking at a huge investment.

O_o Please tell me the $1000 price tag is for the premium version, not the regular z5 or compact.
