Tech Support stated that the T-Mobile Visual Voice app has been experiencing issues for quite some time. I deleted that app and went back to the dial into VM days. Problem solved for me at least. Added thought- Visual Voice was ok but had a horrible voice to text translation.

I would contact Veri$on and ask a good tech support person help. I have 4 different Samsung watches on a S10e (newest release) and they all work just fine on T-Mobile. I'm not being billed by T-Mobile for anything related to them. I think I had insurance on the Gears S2 classic one point.

Samsung Kies and an older version of Gear Wearables when it was named something else did the trick.

Just started having this issue and I think it's an incompatible app issue. Called T-Mo and HTC only to be told to clear the cache and data in the actual phone app. And to call back if it persists as notes will be made on the account that I did call in about it.

I have a couple of quick charging portable bricks/banks and a solar powered brick/bank too as well as a quick charging dual port accessory port (aka ole cigarette lighter) adapter. I need this as I drive for a living but it's helped me loads. Amazon is my best accessories purchase friend.

The Bixby button was my issue and still is but since it's disabled as is everything else... I'm good so far.

I know this is old but Samsung Kies saved me and this exact model.

Model SM V700? Is so, you may need to install on a laptop/computer Samsung Kies to update the watch and then it will be read by Gear Wearables. At least that was the case for my SM V700 and a S10e. GOod luck!!
