S5 active should be able to get 6 hours SOT vs G3 with 4 hours with stock ROM's. My friend is able to reach 5 hours with 100% brightness and I get 4 hours with 40% brightness at same kind usage.

Re: Deciding between which Android phones is very difficult! LG G3 and Sony Xperia Z2 is worth considering, they are both 399 euros at least at Finland. Also if you are considering only between those phones, I recommend OnePlus One.

This phone is definitely not recommended for gaming. If factory reset does not help you, I recommend to look out for a different phone, sony have z2 which has twice better screen on time but it doesn't look as great as G3 does.
