So I bought the hyperion 6000 mah extended battery and received it 6 days ago. I've now completed the 4-5 recommended discharge and charge cycles and the results have been great. The stock battery did ok but by 3:00 every day I had to throw it on the charger for an hour+ to get through till bedtime. So my goal with the 6000 was to be able to use my phone all day however I wanted streaming radio, music, texts, email, video without having to worry about charging. I don't mind charging at night, just tired of plugging in during the day and when I have meetings I can't be plugged in. The hyperion 6000 mah extended battery gets me through to bedtime with around 30% every day without any charging. I'm very happy. I'm getting around 4.5 hours screen on time when I hit 50% left. So in theory I should get close to 9 hours screen on time if I had to go all the way down.

While the 9000 mah zero lemon would be cool, the hyperion 6000 mah meets my needs more than adequately without the bulk of the 9000. It's about 1/3 thicker over the bottom 2/3 of the phone and it weighs about the same as my note 2 did, and I actually like the extra weight.

Just thought somebody might be looking at them, or thinking about it. Here are the links below, I got the battery, back cover & tpu case. The cover fits excellent, as good as the stock back.

I really want to get one. Will any of the normal cases work though. I have an Incipio case and pretty sure it will not.

No, it adds a good 4 mm to the thickness over the bottom 2/3 of the back.

I have gotten 8hours SOT with a 3850mah battery and 144hours usage on battery with about 4.5-5hours remaining.

What tweaks do you recommend to do on a stock ROM? My phone is currently not rooted and I would wish to keep it that way. I get with 5000mAh battery 6 - 6.5 hours SOT in 24 hours period. I have Battery Booster Lite installed but honestly, it doesn't seem to do much at all. Screen brightness is usually at 40% and I am connected on 3G all the time due I have bad 4G connectivity which would drain all the battery in a couple of hours. My usage is usually social media, browsing and playing some light games. I've heard that if I would root it would be worth to get greenify and wakelock detector but I want to see first what I can do without rooting. I have location disabled and I only enable it if I really need it.

I also do not believe this battery is 5000mAh, 4500mAh sounds about right (This battery is sold as 7200mAh on ebay which is proven to be around 4500mAh as well)

Well as far as not being rooted then you would have to enable developer settings and mess around in there.
Also get in the habit of manually turning on and off all things you don't need.
Most apps that can help require root so your kind of limited.
Try powering your phone off at night while you sleep and leave it on the charger.
Don't use battery helpers that do what you can already do.

I guess you've been using the Hyperion for well over a month now - how is it holding up?

Right now I'm using the stock battery with a spare in my wallet, but have been considering an extended battery.
I had a ZeroLemon for my S3 which was great, and while the 9000mah for the LG G3 sounds great it really does add a LOT of bulk to the phone. The 6000mah Mugen looks a better size, but it seems to be pretty overpriced (at least 2.5x more than the prices I've seen for Hyperion).

I don't know if you've had any experience with these other varieties in order to compare, but if not would you still recommend the Hyperion on its own merits? Or anyone, for that matter?

I'm going to be getting a 6000 mah battery soon. Different manufacturer though.

I hope to achieve double SOT than I'm getting now with the 6000 mah battery. Around 11 hours. I will report my findings late this week, if I can.

FYI, the link to amazon in the OP goes to a 3000 mah battery.

It's working beautifully. I'm rooted running BarePop ZV8 TE for the last 3 weeks and I can make it to bed time after 16-17 hours with 35-40% left consistently. That's about an hour a day of GPS and waze for traffic info to and from work with the screen on the whole time. Using it to stream radio for 3 hours in the morning, then podcasts or music almost constantly for another 7-8 hours all on LTE until I get home because the work wifi is terrible and I have good LTE and unlimited data. Idk what my SOT is but I can try to check tomorrow. I haven't really worried about it because I don't need to which was my whole reason for getting the hyperion 6000mAh. I don't want to have to plug it in every day at 2 PM for an hour or more to get through the day because I can't always be near a charger.

So again yes it's working very well and I love it.

You should be able to easily double it. As for the link, idk it took me to the 6000mAh battery when I checked it just now.

Oh, that's weird. It now says 6000 but in description it says 2800 man for Samsung S5. Amazon must be kinda screwy...

EDIT: And now the title, info and description are all correct stating 6000mah. So strange!

You can buy it directly from hyperion too, which is what I actually did.

do you have any pictures of it on your phone, maybe a comparison of just the phone without the case then with?

This actually looks identical to the battery/case I got from MPJ. I'm sure the quality is on par with what you got, or they are just re-branding from China, as that is where they are manufactured.

Do you mind linking to the battery you purchased? Does it fit with a standard back or does it also protrude? I had planned to get just a spare 3000 and a wall charger, but an extra 28% capacity might be all I need.

So here is a couple pics. It does add weight, I used my note 2 to take the pics and the G3 with this battery feels the same as my note 2 with the stock battery which I'm fine with.

SOT right now is not huge. But it also accounts for only 40% of my usage. The rest is split between streaming music, podcasts etc and to be fair I watched about 2 hours of Netflix on full brightness over LTE so I'm pretty happy. I'm showing 14 hours off the charger right now with 40% left. Again my goal was to be able to use the phone as much as I wanted during the day without having to be worried about plugging it in which it has done. Hope this helps anyone on the fence.

Can you take a pic without your case sideways? So I can see how thick it is just with the back cover and battery alone.

My 6000mah battery (on the first discharge cycle) seems to be going pretty well at 35 hours (4:37 SOT) at 54% capacity.
