    So what's your next phone?

A Google Play Edition Galaxy S7 will probably be the best Android phone of 2016. A Touchwiz variant GS7 may not be the best Android phone of the year due to Touchwiz still being pretty overbearing. Hopefully Samsung fixes the RAM management this time around.

    So what's your next phone?

That's great that your daughter loves her Xperia Z5 Compact. I always thought the Xperia series was pretty good. How is she doing with taking video on her personal device? I know that a main drag of the Z5 this year was the phone overheating to an uncomfortable level when taking video. But...

    So what's your next phone?

I am sure this will not be the answer you want to read about, but I thought I would toss in my upgrade from my HTC One M8. Before I get to the phone, I want to explain what caused me to switch from my HTC One M8. The HTC One M8 was hands-down one of the coolest phones I have ever owned. I...

What happened to the Android Central Website Layout?

I have been an Androidcentral reader for years and I have noticed over the past 6 or so months that the website has turned into an extremely cluttered mess. When I went to the homepage today to check the latest Android news, I couldn't readily discern what hyperlinks were for articles, forum...

From BlackBerry to a HTC One

Whenever I think about Blackberry, I have fond memories of my Bold 9630. I miss the physical keyboard. The Blackberry Classic almost had me based on nostalgia, but I couldn't deal with a complete lack of native apps. Still loving my M8, though. Posted via the Android Central App

Verizon HTC One M8 Lollipop Update Thread

After a few days running Lollipop on the HTC One M8, I am comfortable enough to say that my battery life has worsened--not significantly, but enough for me to personally notice. Usually, on a light usage day, I will make it to about 10:00 p.m. with 55-65% of the battery left (16 hours off...

Verizon HTC One M8 Lollipop Update Thread

Yeah, but here is the kicker. If you click hide the content option, it only works when the phone is "locked." If I have used my phone within the past 5 minutes, it will show the contents of the message no matter what. However, if the phone has not been used for 5 minutes, it will indicate that...

Verizon HTC One M8 Lollipop Update Thread

Can you hook your phone up to your computer? That's how my phone backs up if I do a factory wipe. HTC has that program (I don't recall the name, that installs when you plug your phone into the computer). How come you can't access things on your phone? What is happening with your phone after the...

Facebook messenger was not working right for me either. However, it worked horribly for me and caused battery drain on KitKat, so I just uninstalled it again since I rarely use it anyway. I think that is Facebook's fault, not our phones. Posted via the Android Central App

Verizon HTC One M8 Lollipop Update Thread

Try using Google Hangouts and enable MMS and SMS on it and make it your default messenger client. You can always go back in 5 seconds if you don't like it. Posted via the Android Central App

Verizon HTC One M8 Lollipop Update Thread

I haven't used the stock messaging app since I got the phone. I use Google Hangouts for my SMS, MMS, and Google Hangouts. I recommend that instead. The stock messaging app is fine, but Hangouts is better. Posted via the Android Central App

That sucks. Try doing a system cache wipe first and if that doesn't work, you may need to do a factory reset. Make sure you back up your photos and what not. Posted via the Android Central App

Nice. You have a control and test group at home. Lucky you. The other phones in my home are iPhone 6's, so I am the only one on Android. Let us know how your phone ends up faring. My phone has been flawless since the Lollipop update.
