    I can't get SIM/carrier internet, only Wifi

I went back to the shop. While on my way, the internet decided to work on the phone. Almost getting there, it didn't work anymore. At the shop, the expert tested his own SIM in it, two SIMs actually, and they worked. He determined that my SIM is too old (5 years, the other I left at home is 7...

    I can't get SIM/carrier internet, only Wifi

When I open that section, I see an APN with the name of the carrier. I guess it's put that automatically by the SIM. When I put the SIM in another phone and open that section, I see the exact same APN as the one shown in the "bad" phone.

    I can't get SIM/carrier internet, only Wifi

I bought a used phone from a repair shop. Nice guys, great service, but I trust no one so I wiped and reset the phone back to factory settings as soon as I got home. It's a Motorola and it has Android 10. It's been sitting on a desk for a few days with Wifi access only. Today, I tried two SIM...

    Can I cancel/revoke pending installations?

Well, I deleted/removed from Home those grayed out icons, enabled Internet and rebooted, and none of the unwanted apps was installed. I did that yesterday and they haven't been installed yet, so I guess I am safe. Thank you.

    Can I cancel/revoke pending installations?

I don't know if it was originally sold through a carrier. I checked Settings>Apps, show system apps on, the unwanted apps aren't there, but I'm afraid they will be installed as soon as I let this phone have Internet. Like I said in my original post, I don't want to let them install then...

    Can I cancel/revoke pending installations?

I bought a used phone from a repair shop. Nice guys, great service, but I trust no one so I wiped and reset the phone back to factory settings as soon as I got home. It's a Motorola and it has Android 10. During re-installation, it asked for Internet. I gave it WiFi (not a SIM card). It...

How can I install apps in old Android?

I have an old 5.1 Android phone that was kept unused for a long time. I has two "buttons" at the top of the screen that say, "Account action required." When I click them, some strange, almost empty screen appears that says, "Checking info..." and nothing ever happens. Now I need to update two...

    Unlocking a very old Motorola

I am the owner of the phone and, like I said, I have full access to the google accounts. There should be a way to unlock it from my google profile.

    Unlocking a very old Motorola

I need to unlock a very old Motorola. It was kept unused for too long and I forgot the password. Can someone here please help? The facts: 1. I don't know the model's name. I think it is Moto G1 but I'm not sure. It's at least 10 years old. 2. There is no "forgot my password" button when I try...

Best way to have push email?

I only have Gmail on my phone and the one thing I hate the most about it is the lack of notifications. Well, there are notifications to some extent, but they are terrible. They seem to act at random, notifying some messages and not others, and always notifying some considerable time after they...

    Always unlock at home?

Will you buy me a new tablet? You have money to spare to buy a new one so everybody must have it too. Is that your logic? Ever heard about something called "economy"? Do you ever read the news outside of Android news? Do you buy your groceries yourself?

    Always unlock at home?

Yes, it's ICS. Version 4.0.4. It's the best I could get for it. It's the Motorola Xoom, MZ605. I have Developer Options and it's already set to "Stay awake," "Screen will never sleep while charging." I don't remember when or why I enbled that, but it's enabled. Doesn't seem to make a difference...
