My thoughts exactly. I got myself another device last year when this one got this issue and just brought it back to life with the wireless charger. But I can’t see the use of keeping it, or even selling it... the USB port is very important anyway. Thanks for your input !

It isn't just the port, but the whole charging unit. The repair cost would be USD 300

My usb charging/connecting unit is dead and beyond repair. I managed to revive the phone with a wireless charger, though the USB port is no longer working for anything. I tried to upgrade software but it requires to connect the device, which is impossible in this case. Is there any work around...
