The Fascinate was the last Samsung product I will EVER buy. It's not the first time I've sworn off a company, and it's not the last. They took my money and ran. Verizon was awesome enough to take back that never-to-be-updated, RFS file system running piece of guano, and I won't be fooled...

There is an app in the market called SDRescan. It does what it says... rescans the SD card. I've noticed that pictures sometimes don't show up when loaded, but they ARE there if I use a file explorer. SDRescan always fixes this for me.

Ditto here. The Dinc took a few seconds. The Bolt takes close to 20... I think it SEEMS longer when you're hoping you don't take a wrong turn :p Mine always locks, and when it does it's spot on.

Found this method over on XDA. It will freeze all of the bloat on the Thunderbolt. As Adrynalyne noted earlier in the thread, it will come back with a data wipe. This IS NOT a permanent solution, rather something to get you by until we get a root method that does not wipe the phone. YOU...

Not to be rude, but I think that's obvious. I purposely didn't call it a "fix" I hardly know what the problem is, and it's well above my head to dive into the radio or kernel and tidy things up. In the end, whatever you choose to call it, whether it's a fix, solution, etc. is just semantics...

I think that's a different issue. I should have noted that I'm in a 3G only area.

To me, this is the same as a netbook vs a laptop. I want to have the speed and capability of Android, so I am willing to take the battery hit (mine typically lasts 13-15 hrs a day, and all I've done is use common sense... use wifi when you signal is week, don't sync weather every 15mins, etc)...

Yep. A month from now this would probably frustrate me. With the pace of the forums now though, and a LOT of new Android users, people tend to panic over what is really a trivial problem. I'm sure as things settle down and there aren't as many "OMG my Thunderbolt just _______" moments, people...

From time to time I've had to go into Menu>Settings>Wireless & Networks and click on the network I'm connected to to ACTUALLY connect.

The only problem I have is when people declare they are trading in their Thunderbolt because ...blah blah blah... and they only have 1 or 2 posts. They obviously didn't ask for help, and there are plenty of us here willing to give it. I mean, it's their money, and it's certainly their right to...

Easy Phone Tunes Plus (Market Link) The plus version can sync multiple playlists. I believe the free version (there is a link on the above page) can only do 1. A little slow if you have a lot of music, but it works flawlessly.
