No a different cable for each way I tried to charge it. I knows it's plugged in since I can get a battery to appear on the black screen, but it's not charging and it won't turn on.

I've tried USB to PC, wall charger, and wireless charger. None have any effect on the phone. If I try to turn it on while plugged into a power source, an empty battery will appear on the screen with no indication of it charging. Is this a bad battery or could there be another issue? I tried...

Just an update. The only thing that worked was flashing Marshmallow again. Somehow the OS got corrupted.

BTW, if you started with AT&T and switched to Cricket, you'll never get the Marshmallow OTA without flashing or going back to AT&T now that they finally released it to their customers. You now have an AT&T build on your phone. When you put their sim in it their build was downloaded. It won't...

OP this seems to be an exclusive issue with AT&T customers, and the reason I left ATT. Check their Nexus 6 forums. I ended up flashing it and switching to Project Fi. Not only do I not have to worry about anything like this again, but my bill's always under $30 a month.

No. My bootloader is still unlocked after I flashed Marshmallow in December, but I've gotten updates since then. Only the latest one won't go through and gives the error message. Maybe the March update will work?
