Have you disabled the data roaming? If it is left enabled, there can be data charges.

Maybe the phone is trying to send SMS via Wi-Fi Calling and fails. When you turn off Wi-Fi, the SMS is sent in the traditional way via the phone network.

Restart the phone. Power off, take out battery, put battery back in and power on. Hopefully this will fix the problem. If it still freezes, go to Samsung service center.

The eNodeB communicates with MME for control (signalling) and with serving gateway for traffic. MME interference is only during connection setup where controls are exchanged. After that traffic will go directly between eNodeB and serving gateway. Hope that is clear.

Likely your camera hardware is damaged. Resetting the phone won't fix this problem.

It could be hardware problem with the LCD backlight.
