This..finally worked for me, after fiddling and waiting for over a day for it to rectify itself, as was suggested elsewhere. (On an aside, coming from the ever buggy Essential PH-1 phone, i'm really disappointed in some of the bugs on my S8+)
Also, check if your phone is in MTP mode versus the other modes. Also on my Mac Mini, I have to plug and unplug a few times before it takes.
Definitely try a different cable. I ran into a few cables i have that just charge only.
Not pre-ordering or buying anything until I see some detailed reviews, preferably from Anandtech first.
The 6P isn't going anywhere, I don't need to have it day one, etc.
Lots of other things to play with in the interim anyway...
Re: Out of the box, how much usable memory is available on the Nexus 6p
Unless you just dropped out of the sky, storage has ALWAYS been reported this way since time immemorial, from spinning platter drives to flash, etc. We're in 2015, "Truth In Storage Advertising" would have to have started...
I think people need to separate BlackBerry (the O.S) from BlackBerry hardware in this case.
I personally do not care for Blackberry O.S, but definitely like what I've seen of the Priv so far, and would definitely be in the market for one when it launches, barring any tepid or negative issues...
Re: So mine is going back.
So...what's the point of this thread?
Nothing wrong with the X you say, but you're returning it because you got an invite to buy another phone. Ok...
This necessitates starting a thread?
You mentioned software version OG1, which if I'm not mistaken is the most recent OTA containing the "stagefright" fix..
Did you recently update to OG1? Was your battery life better before the update?
