I just was talking on the phone and looked something up on the internet with NO wifi enabled. But, advanced calling has to be enabled. I couldn't talk and use data before I enabled it.

When I enabled advanced calling I was able to use both voice and data simultaneously.

Stand alone battery charger. I travel a lot and have found that a spare battery is very nice.

Got a spare battery and charger from a best buy. The guy gave me the charger and batter for a Note 4. Will it work (even though the Edge is a 3000mAh and the 4 is 3220mAh)? Anybody know if I get the actual 3000mAh will the Note 4 charger still work? Or, will it over charge the battery and kill...

Mine was disabled by default. Had some caller ID thing that had to be turned off. Seemed like I had to choose between one or the other. Of course, I chose data while talking on the phone.

I just tried it. No data when on the phone unless you connect to wifi. It even has a popup that says as much. I wonder if rooting it would fix the problem.

I got my Edge today. What a major learning curve over my Note 2. But, I think I'm going to enjoy it. Got it from a store in Casper, WY and there were at least 3 others getting it and they only had 11 to sell.

I have talked to a corporate store and a retail store and both said it's in their system. The corporate store said the same thing "they will have it, but don't know how many" Will be visiting the retail store (buddy works there) and will see if they will also get it in.

Yep, I have been wondering the same thing. I talked to a non corporate Verizon store today and they had received information as well. They told me to check in with the Wed to see if they will be getting it.

I use voice to text on my Gear 2 a lot. I recently used some profanity and it kept the first letter and put the rest as * (example - s***). Anybody know how I can fix it so it doesn't do it again?

So, by that logic, why should Verizon even release the phone? I still think they will release it. And, will need to do it soon. Or, there won't be any point in releasing it. Some of us want or need the edge and will still get it. Besides, if it's the note series it will be almost a year before...

The phone is just a symptom of the real problem. All you saying you wouldn't leave because of a device would leave in an instant if they refused to release any type of new phone for several months after its release. There isn't a difference. IF they will do it for one what would keep them from...
