    On my phone I never really found the bars or dBm readings to give any reliable indication of actual reception. I'd do a speed test as the best indicator, and at time's I'd have no network connectivity or very poor (.3Mbps or less) speeds despite having good dBm numbers.

    I could handle improved reception at the cost of battery life. It would probably end up being a bit of a wash since as it stands right now I'm using my phone an additional 30% or more than I normally would since I am constantly stuck trying to reload websites or checking if I have service.

    I can't say I've observed any issues with wifi. SaskTel has sent my phone away for repair, though I'm doubtful I'll see any improvement.
