Sadly, I think the answer is no, you won't be able to recover them (hope I'm wrong and someone jumps in with a solution).
To prevent future problems get a cloud backup system going - plenty of free options.
Neglected bench, with a preserved example only fifty yards away. Samsung Note 4, FV-5 camera app, minor retouching in Photoshop. Taken at the seaside in Portsmouth, UK.
UK carrier Note 4 here. I use the LED to notify me of different events and use six different colours so I can tell at a glance if I have just received an email, an SMS or a Whatsapp message (and from whom). A useful feature.
Check "Location". If you're at "Home" and "Location" is on Power Saving it's getting a very rough approximation from your home wifi. Remove your "Home" from Smart Lock and re-set it. Alternatively take a few Location readings in and around your home and set them all up as trusted places.
I use mine all the time for TV and set top boxes at home (sometimes randomly at work or in shops for fun also).
Use the Peel Smart Remote app that came pre-installed. Works very well. I don't get all the functions of the remotes that come with my home devices but one thing it is great for is...
If I were in your position I woud definitely upgrade to the Note 4. Plenty of power and function. S-pen, spare battery, swappable storage SD cards, IR blaster!! Function over form.
Certainly is a lot of provider bloatware! That will be in addition to all the stuff added by Samsung and Google!
I'm in the UK using Three as a provider and Three only added one app to check the account and that can be disabled easily. Nonetheless I have 23 Samsung and Google apps currently...
If you need to fine tune the display, you can try a third party app. There are quite a few on Google's Play Store.
SunFilter - Screen Temperature
Lux Lite
Screen Adjuster Free
I have not needed to try any of these so use caution as with any app.
Hope one of them works for you.
If the update allows RAW saving or manual camera options, you won't see that in the stock camera app. There is an app called Manual Camera Compatibility Test and if you run that and it reports manual options available you have to use a third party camera app to take advantage of the manual options.
As said above, if you root your phone you can find a way around this. Might be worth trying an Airplane Mode widget, a few of them in the play store ...
Re: Can't search by star-rating Play Store S6...
You hunt around in the Play Store and read some of the reviews, check the developer's web site and then go outside Google to read other review sites such as:
Reviews « Android.AppStorm
Reviews | Life of Android
Android Apps »
