I have the Otterbox Defender for the rough stuff but found a 0.3mm clear gel case on ebay for a couple bucks. It's as thin as can possibly be, and protects the chamfered edges. It's perfect. Posted via the Android Central App

Nope, it's a bug in Messaging on Note 2's with Launcher 8 installed. We'll have to wait for an update to see if they fixed it. Good thing it only takes a minute to reboot. My BB used to take about 5 minutes or so.

Yes, this and only this. I can get about 10 hours of screen time on a full charge. I think that's fantastic. I keep a charger at work for a quick 1 hour top-up mid-afternoon to get me through the evening without battery warnings. My 4S got about 4 hours screen time. Great device, tiny battery...

You're right. It was of no consolation to those of us with the trackball models on a 3 year plan though! Gaffes like that will lose customers forever. I will say that the Z10 looks really nice. And I would leave Apple for it. But I'm too attached to the Note to go back to a closed system now...
