I like seeing the brief battery percentage circle when my phone is removed from charging. Is there a setting that can be turned on to see the same battery percentage circle briefly appear when I plug back into a charger?

Do you use Smart Switch and do regular backups then after restoring use helium just to restore data for apps you restored?

Recently had my S9 phone stolen (it was locked!) but when I got my new S10, Google restore didn't restore quite everything (ie: settings/screens) but did restore new versions of the same apps I had. So I'm curious if anyone out there has a good backup/restore strategy to restore screens...

Thanks smvim for the info. I actually don't really need to go back to root and from what I know about the S6 version I have, I can't now anyway, which is ok. I just wanted to know if a factory reset puts back all original files, which might clear up my issue. Thanks

My S6 (SM-G920V) phone was rooted until July of 2016. I had to send the phone into a Samsung repair center because the battery was swelling and they would replace it. When I got the phone back they had upgraded the firmware to the current version at that time, thus decimating my root. Oh well...

I figured it out. I need to place the folders on the root of my extSDcard, reboot and it works. In the past versions of Android I did this at the root of the sdcard under a \media\audio folder, but I guess Jelly bean is different.

I mentioned in the original post that I created each folder, copied ringtones in the folder, rebooted and checked. For each folder structure, each reboot, the particular ringtones (mp3's) are not showing up. I also realize I can't change the default. I'm just looking for a way to place new...
