Figured it out. Accidentally. It was an app - Unread Badge - I was using to show how many msgs I had. Uninstalled app. Msgs went away. But now no counter on my Gmail icon. Posted via the Android Central App

Re: My Google search bar is not in my widgets on my S5. Don't think there is one. Go to your apps. Find the Google icon. Long press & add it to your home screen. That's what I did. Posted via the Android Central App

Gmail. Went to app settings. Turned off notifications. Sent test msgs to myself. No sound notification. Nothing on status bar. App icon shows new msgs. But. Still get pop-up. Can't do anything til I close it. Isn't there a way I get rid of this annoying pop-up? Posted via the Android Central App

Looking for app for my S5 to keep track of books I've bought/read. Using app from SortIt now but not real pleased. One of the ways to sort the list is by author. But app sometimes comes up with totally different name. So if I sort by author list is incomplete. Posted via the Android Central App
