Thanks Beut. It's the front camera. I tried your test and it still came up as failed. I think it must be a failed front camera. The rear one works perfectly.

In safe mode it behaves the same way as normal mode. I don't really feel like uninstalling all the apps on there. I can use the mobile or PC for Facebook camera Messenger. Regarding the warranty, it's over five years old now. Thanks.

This has probably been answered before but can a charger be left plugged in to an outlet/electricity mains without being plugged into the Note? The charger always gets warm when charging but cools down when the Note is at 100% battery life or when no cable is connected to the charger. I know...

Thanks, but I know how to do that. As I'm not up to speed yet on the s-pen, I want to to see these useful help windows, which describe what each function does. Unfortunately I've selected the 'do not want to see again' options on a couple of them and would like to get them back again. Martin.

I've been experimenting with the s-pen on the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. As I select each option in the circular s-pen menu a help screen comes up, which you can click to 'never see again'. I selected okay on a couple of these and they're not shown now. I would kinda like to see these again...
