Verizon uses CDMA and all Europian carriers (and most US ones) use GSM. You might need to change it from CDMA/LTE and select either GSM/LTE or Global mode. Also, make sure you added the APN for Orange. I assume you did that, but if you didn't you shouldn't need to follow the previous tip.
