Scan mode does not mean the same thing as a printer scanner, it means that it flattens out the image, crops the photo, removes any shine etc .. This way it is easier to read for other apps and takes up less space.

There is a new functionality on the S10 which allows you to scan documents. I don't know if it would be that good at a full sized document, but for receipts it's great ... when it works. When you bring up the camera, and aim at a receipt it brings up the scan function. But --- :-X It doesn't...
