Actually I've found switching off Auto connect and wifi timer and also enabling keep wifi on during sleep have removed my issues? Early days (only been 24 hours) but it seems to have done the trick. I think it's worth try.

I'm from the UK and experiencing the same problems. I've even tried 2 different routers. The problem is even worst for me as it totally screws up my wifi network for all devices. I know my Apple router is solid as I've NEVER had a problem with it and I've had it for years. I think it was one...
