I don't have any social networks on my phone. I do have 3 messaging apps along with gmail and yahoo mail. But I think that's pretty normal. About the seam - there's a bit of creaking from the back-plate connection that I can notice when I'm in a very quiet place.

On my G2, I added a Yahoo email account to the Gmail app as an IMAP account, which is a new feature of the Gmail app. However, I see no way to remove it, either in the general settings or the setting of the Gmail app. I made it stop syncing, but it's still visible. I dunno...in terms of being problem free, just the right size, not much wasted space, excellent screen, pretty good battery life, solid camera, doesn't get scuffed up from normal use...it's a pretty brilliant pocket computer. I really like it. When I look at the G3, I'm not sure it's better...

Magically? No, I think they should be able to program their OS well enough to support their handful of devices in a timely fashion. If it's so difficult to make something run on 6 different devices, then they are doing something wrong. Microsoft puts an OS on zillions of hardware configurations...

This is google's own device, they should be able to give us the update promptly. Still no OTA for me.

Still no OTA on mine either. Major fail by Google to not have prompt support for their own device only 2 years old.

Mine has an unlocked bootloader - I think I probably rooted it too, I can't remember. Think I can still get the OTA? I had no problem installing 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 OTAs just now. But no 5.0 update is offered.

I don't want to not get notifications or specify from whom I want notifications - I want to be able to toggle between notification types. However, someone above pointed out that volume down and then pressing the bell switches to vibrate, which is helpful - then you don't have press volume all...

I'm talking specifically about the lack of a convenient way to toggle modes at all.

I notice that they removed the options that used to be in the menu that pops up when you long-press the power button (vibrate, airplane, etc), and there's also no quick settings toggle to quickly change between sound on, vibrate, and perhaps silent mode. This seems silly. Quickly changing sound...
